Hi Ross, yes updates in the youths would be great. Nothing better than seeing a homegrown player become a regular in the first team.
I'm very interested to see how this associated club set up works. For my own understanding, are we getting two clubs? One in league 1 and one in the Championship? So theoretically 10 players could be loaned out?
The co-op setup by the sounds of things will allow us the possibility of sending up to 5 players (16 to 21 year olds) to two teams (have to be in different leagues).
I want to see the full detail before saying too much, but I can understand why many supporters of the lower league clubs are concerned.
There is a Raith Rovers podcast that has a rant about it from the 55th minute onwards and while some of the things said aren't factually correct, and as one of the guys points out the detail reported is minimal, they still make some valid points. Imo it is important that we look at this from the POV of Scottish football as a whole, not just what we get from it because that's not meant to be the point of it. The point is that everyone should benefit, but that's an incredibly tough thing to balance.
