I agree with your opinions here. My own concern is that the current custodians see this as the limit of our potential, success domestically and participation in European Football.

Two recent statements confirm this

1. Peter Lawwell in one financial statement spoke of keeping a surplus because we might not get CL every year ( I paraphrase) - I think the bank balance is there to make up shortfalls when we have less successful seasons, in my opinion there is no intention to improve beyond where we are now

2.it may have been the same statement but mention was made of keeping costs down when considering wage inflation in football. There is zero ambition or inclination to "move up" to the next category player (the 40 to 50k a week level)

A serious football club would not have to erect a tent for CL nights because the media facilities are inadequate

That tent tells you a lot about this board's ambition.

I think Nawrocki, Kuhn and Palma deserve another season to see how they get on settled and with a pre season behind them.
