Time to can the complacency cliches in Celtic discussions?

I feel as if I can’t nark at my teenage weans these next few days. The payment for a little prayer being answered. I just don’t think I could have coped if these past couple of weeks there had not been undeniable evidence that the pursuit of new signings is active on many fronts (even if done deals to savour are thin on the ground, as yet).
The close season is a grind. And the initial vacuum created by the absence of football provoked one of my pet hates: the banging on, incessantly, about Celtic and complacency. It is a word that has been denuded of any meaning through over-use. A hackneyed catch-all for everything that is considered deficient about how the club is run. So it was in the fortnight that followed the Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen. Indeed, it started to feel it was obligatory that bloggers on all Celtic fan sites and supporters posting on social media trotted out the complacency term.
