One of the benefits of having of the CU community with club members able to discuss issues in the chat room, is that you can write about things that are not wholly Celtic without some loonball jumping in with the “what’s that got to do with Celtic” line. The concept that many of us are capable cognitive flexibility seems to blow the minds of many.

So what’s this opening ramble about? Multi-club ownership brought to the fore by the Palace/Lyon issue. Everyone saw the moments of joy. Everywhere across the news and social media were the images and videos of Crystal Palace fans buzzing after their team clinched a spot in Europe thanks to a sensational FA Cup win. It was set to be a landmark moment for the South London club—a first-ever appearance in a UEFA competition. But just as the celebrations started, the complications followed. Now, Palace’s Europa League spot is in doubt, and it all comes down to one man: John Textor.
