Think historically we've always been a club that employs those with a 'Celtic' connection. I'm past my sell by date age wise and reckon its high time for some 'young blood' to come into Celtic Park and bring us , kicking and screaming if necessary, into the 21st century. Looking at the custodians that are in place reminds me ,like I need it, that age doesn't always bring wisdom.
It’s not always a bad thing, but when you have large group of people who have only ever experienced Celtic, then it is much more likely to become stale, and you compound that problem when you pull in pals and relatives, people who aren’t ready for Celtic. It’s human nature to try and survive in what is a big and scary environment.
We need people who have experienced things in different environments that are ready to thrive in a pressure filled environment. People who want to be seen as the best at what they do, and who are willing to give direction to things like our academy and our recruitment.
