Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to the Celtic Da Weekly, the weekly column from the site single-handedly dragging long-form rambly pish back into fashion.

It has been brought to our attention that more and more new readers are joining up every week so maybe we should start with the basics.

Remember the glory days of Etims and… erm… well mostly just Etims really, when Celtic fans would pour their hearts and half their Saturday into crafting 3,000-word thinkpieces on why Mark Burchill should’ve been given a chance up front? Back before every opinion had to fit inside 240 characters or risk being steamrolled by a GIF of someone falling over with “He’s pish” written underneath? Well, it's a bit like that.

So welcome, new reader, to the Celticunderground, not just the finest Celtic fansite on the internet, but quite possibly the greatest cultural achievement since the 25th of May 1967 itself. A towering beacon of wit, wisdom and wilful nonsense in a sea of clickbait, Twitter rants, and badly filtered TikToks. Other sites do “content.” We do literature. Canon. Scripture, if we’re being honest. This isn’t just a website, it’s an act of service to humanity, a sort of green-and-white Dead Sea Scroll. If Oscar Wilde had grown up in the Calton and loved a 4-3-3, this is what he’d be writing.
