As the worlds longest running football fan podcast, we like people to think that we’re on the cutting edge with new technology. With the Celticrumours twitter handle (not to be confused with Celticfacts), the first fan media podcast IN THE WORLD and of course the switch over to Substack - where we lead others follow. Therefore, we have the image of being at the cutting edge of football fan media culture and being IT gurus. The reality is we wing it everyday (I’m sure many of you twigged that years ago).

Anyway…that is a long winded way of saying that we’ve just worked out something else that Substack does - CHAT. From what we’ve seen it’s a mix between the comments section in the papers and Twitter and so here it is - Today we’re announcing a brand new addition to our Substack publication: The Celtic Underground Substack subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space exclusively for paid subscribers—kind of like a group chat or live hangout (for the older readers - and let’s face it, that’s all of you) a place to chat like twitter but without the ars****es . We’ll post questions and updates that come our way, and you can jump into the discussion.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
