Hello, good morning, and welcome to Celtic Da Weekly, your trusted source for irreverent ramblings and begrudging football analysis. It’s a match day special today. And by special, I mean I didn’t get it done last night, and it’s absolutely no different from any other week’s edition.
The main reason for the delay? I was deep in States of Play by Miguel Delaney, which left me too depressed about the state of football to write anything. Cracking book, by the way. Highly recommended if you fancy a brutal reminder that modern football is, in fact, rubbish. I couldn’t put it down. Not for lack of trying, mind you, but after an unfortunate encounter with superglue, I had to read the last three chapters with my forehead stuck to the dust jacket.
First up, an apology for last week’s column. As the four of you who read this regularly will know, I went long on Section 60 and the treatment of the Green Brigade. Apparently, this caused a bit of a stir in certain quarters, and I’d like to take this opportunity to clarify something:
