Since CCV arrived at Celtic Park in 2021, he has proved himself to be an enormously popular figure. Many fans consider him to be one of the most reliable central defenders the club has had in the 21^st century.

All of this is still generally true. Yet again, he was a hugely important player in the 2024-25 season. However, the past 12 months perhaps did also begin to show some cracks in this, albeit ones that are not entirely his fault. Injury issues towards the end of the season point to a need for a rest.
