Changing agency shortly after a new contract usually indicates a players intent
The news of the Atlanta United interest in Kyogo will come as no surprise to most. Shortly after signing his new contract with Celtic, Kyogo changed agency to Base. Agents make money from obtaining moves or improved contracts for clients. And so, the change of agency shortly after this new Celtic contract would be an indication that the player himself fancied one more move.
There was talk of Manchester City being interested in him in the summer, but this always seemed difficult to believe but it is now known that there was an offer received by Celtic and it was from the MLS Club with an offer that rose upwards from £9m, with a huge increase in player wages from his £20,000 a week to double that. Celtic rejected the offer… apparently much to Kyogo’s frustration.
