It is a nonsense where Celtic find themselves in the quest to make significant additions to their squad. As we fast approach the three-quarter mark of the summer transfer window.
The Celtic board can bemoan that their support may have scant regard for the far-from-straightforward processes involved in snaring established, desirable targets. Unquestionably there are many moving parts to striking such deals, many elements which make identifying, enticing away from their current employers and remunerating within Celtic’s current wage structure the sort of signings who would automatically vie for first XI status. No fan is daft enough not to recognise the complexities involved.
