Celtic Da Weekly 29/11/24 - Winger rumours, Virtual pitches, and Motorway closures

Hello, good evening, and welcome to the Celtic Da Weekly. It’s still the same day, so it counts. No cash back, no refunds, no entertainment.
The reason for this not appearing earlier? I was, let’s say, unavoidably indisposed last night when I should have been writing. To be honest, after the game on Wednesday, my journey home was such a shambles that I ended up in bed on Thursday earlier than a pensioner on a Night Nurse binge. What is it with this country’s transport overlords? Do they lie in wait, stroking their chins like Bond villains, until 60,000 of us are hurtling down the M8 before gleefully shutting every lane? This time, the closures kicked in right at Glasgow Airport—a proper tease. You’re cruising along, flying past Govan Asda, feeling like you’ve cracked the system, and then bam—gridlock. You’re stuck staring at the back of a Skoda for eternity.
The delay itself isn’t even the worst part. No, the real kicker is that soul-crushing, morally dubious decision to stick with the outside lane, knowing full well you’ll have to awkwardly merge at the last possible moment. It’s like staying at a party too long—you’re not proud of yourself, but you’ve committed to the bad decision now.
And spare a thought for the poor fans heading back to Greenock. They must roll in about 3am, bleary-eyed and questioning their life choices. Then again, the longer you avoid being in Greenock, the better. Silver linings, eh?
Right, enough of the travel trauma—let’s dive straight into some rumours, shall we?
